CS: GO earnings grow from $2.6 billion to $3.4 billion during the first quarter of 2018, according to data from a new report from the research firm.

The growth of the game’s esports earnings is due to the success of the new Blizzard Overwatch esports franchise, the report says.

The Overwatch League, which features top-level pro teams competing in Overwatch esports leagues, is set to launch in 2018.CS:GO esports revenues grew by 10.3% year-on-year during the quarter, from $1.5 billion to over $2 billion, the research said.

The growth of esports revenue in 2018 is driven by an increase in the number of participants from 5.4 million to 6.4.

The report also showed that esports revenues are growing more quickly than the overall esports industry.

It said esports revenues for the first time surpassed $1 billion for the year ending March 2018.
