How to earn money in XBox Live (XBL)
Posted by GamesIndustry.biz on Tuesday, July 11, 2018 07:25:10 The new generation of gaming consoles has seen the rise of free-to-play gaming, where gamers can download games, make purchases and get rewarded in a virtual currency called XBL.
In the past, there were the ‘free’ and ‘pay-to’ games, but the growth of this model has seen a new crop of games come into being.
One of these is Zwerl Earnings, a free-game that gives gamers the chance to earn XBL money and earn some of the game’s in-game money.
This is a model that’s not only gaining popularity, but also attracting the interest of some of today’s biggest game publishers.
The games industry is on a fast-track to becoming a much more profitable industry than it was in 2015, when there were still very few dedicated games studios and only a handful of dedicated game publishers to work with.
XBL, or ‘free to play’, is the most successful of these free-games models, according to the game developer community, and it’s also becoming the gold standard for earning XBL-generated revenue.
According to the developer community itself, the games industry was once a lot like this: there were a few developers who had to pay to be able to create a game, and then the games would be free.
But in the past few years, a new generation has been able to make money by creating games and then charging for them in the game store.
“There is a lot of money in this model,” said Ben Jorgensen, founder and CEO of Zwerls Game Studio.
“I have friends who are making $20k a year and have a team of 50 people working on their game.
I would say that a good portion of these guys have made more than they’ve ever made in their entire lives.
What does the XBL earn for you? “
But they’re still making games, and we’re still seeing them get made, and they’re getting paid, and their fans are still getting to see them, and hopefully eventually it’ll pay off for them,” Jorgenson added.
What does the XBL earn for you?
According to Jorgens, XBLs are “not only a game developer’s revenue stream, but a game publisher’s revenue.”
“It’s a way to generate XBL, and monetize XBL,” he said.
And the money they get from this, they get a nice, big check from Activision, which is one of the biggest companies in the world, and other companies, like EA, EA Europe, Activision, Ubisoft, Blizzard, etc. etc.” “
So a lot people are making money off of this.
And the money they get from this, they get a nice, big check from Activision, which is one of the biggest companies in the world, and other companies, like EA, EA Europe, Activision, Ubisoft, Blizzard, etc. etc.”
“It was just the easiest way for them to make their money,” Jovensen added.
“It was a no-brainer for a lot, so they would get the money and they would start making money.”
The first paid game in the XML model was released on March 11, 2017 by XBL developer Dontnod Entertainment, with a game called Dragon Quest Heroes: The Frozen Throne.
The game’s developer, DontNod, claims that it has made “over $100 million” from the game since its release.
But that’s still only a fraction of the millions that XBL has earned from the games that it’s made.
“The number of XBL players in the industry is estimated at approximately 150 million people, so that’s over 10 million XBL fans,” said Jorgen.
A big part of this is due to a shift in the way the industry operates.
The last time an XBL game was made was around the year 2000.
That’s when free-market publishers and the big studios started to get involved in the business, and started developing games with the idea of making money for the developers.
“That’s why you have these two companies like Dont Nod, who are actually the developers of the XBOX game, because they have the resources to develop these games,” Jørgensen explained.
When we asked if the games were being made in a profit, Jorgson said: “Yes.
No, but they’re being made because they want to.
They’re making the game they want.”
“I think that’s a big reason why people are really enjoying this new model,” Jörgensen added, “because you can get paid to make the games you want.
In a free game, you can earn money if you want it to.
